We, Medusa And I

We, Medusa And I, is a video installation that runs in loop intervals of 14.30min. The artwork combines storytelling, music, text, and video collage to shine a light on the life after sexual trauma and the cultural context surrounding abuse and sexual violence. The videos are in three acts that work with the theme in different ways. 

The musician NÆLDE has made music specifically for the work.

Combining old narratives in a contemporary context the work invites the viewer to take part in the conversation on the status quo, and how we haven’t managed to solve a serious issue with life-destroying consequences.
